This was a Post in a P&S group:
I copied & Pasted the Post & the Comments. .
Because it definitely makes it food For Thought ?

What is everyone’s opinions on people walking on your property in the SHTF situation? Are you giving people a chance or no? Lmao as a mom myself, if I were in a situation where I lost my husband and I’m traveling with my kids, if I see a random house that looks empty, I’m going to be inclined to knock and check it out. I’m obviously prepping and I will constantly yell, I have children. But I want to get a general idea of what the population takes into consideration in these times. If they’re clearly passing through then let them be.
If you were in need of safe passage you’d want the same offered to you.

If they’re poking around give one warning & one warning only.
If they proceed to encroach then use whatever force necessary to protect your property boundaries.

Saying you have kids is probably the dumbest thing you can do though.
Child offenders will still be alive & well.
Kidnappers will still be alive & well.
You make yourself & them an easy target by announcing it for all to hear.

Having children if SHTF is a hindrance.
It can & will be used against you if you’re amidst the wrong people.

You’d be surprised at how many people will claim to be willing to kill but aren’t. If you present a threat many people may harm you. But if you don’t appear harmful, most people will leave you alone. People will act tuff on Facebook but in reality will make up every reason to not shoot you when it all goes down

Better to have your own tent and don’t enter a house unless secluded n totally abandoned.even then risky better to build or dig your own shelter that way it’s yours for sure.expecially with children I was a single mom n alot of people don’t and are not careful around kids you have to run hide n protect. Prepare to make your own shelter then it’s yours for sure.safer…

I just want to be prepared in all situations. I like to plan ahead, and I honestly don’t know what I would do. I like to plan for worse case scenarios ya know. And I will always keep a weapon with me and plan to have my children take a few classes on weapon safety so that they know what to do if the situation arises. Ideally, I would stay in my own home unless it becomes not safe to do so.

you can roll your eyes. But im asking now, so that im prepared later. I like to wonder about all worse case scenario possibilities because those are the ones I need to prepare for. Anyone who doesn’t prepare for worse case scenario possibilities, won’t survive them.
